Join Gary and Fran Scarpa
for a
50th Anniversary Celebration
Gary and Fran Scarpa invite you to celebrate a milestone moment in their lives and in their shared work in the theater.
In the spring of 1976, they directed their first production together—The Music Man—at Shelton High School. Just a month later, they were married in New Haven at Trinity Church on the Green, with the entire cast in attendance.
June 6 Book Discussion / Signing Event
Fifty years later, Gary and Fran return to celebrate both that journey and the release of Gary’s newest book, Lessons from the Stage,
which reflects on a life spent in the theater.
Gary and Fran welcome anyone who has acted under their direction, worked backstage, attended their productions, or followed Gary’s writing to join them for this free event—a celebration of theater, marriage, and memory.
The program will be moderated by their friend Liz Kennard and will include a conversation about Lessons from the Stage,
followed by a Q&A with the audience.
